2009 Canyon Rim Renovation Project

Weststar Landscape, in partnership with James (Jim) Taylor, Landscape Architect of The Lightfoot Planning Group, are starting the landscape renovation for the canyon rim. Jim Taylor gave a final presentation on the Canyon Rim Renovation Project at the February 2009 BOD meeting. He mentioned that he will be researching any available grant funding from water agencies that can assist with this project. The location of this project is at the west end of Villa Monterey HOA. It will take several years to complete. For details see (below) (1) Planting Plan, (2) Plant Palette, and (3) Legend & Notes. The project will conservation water by:

• Eliminating turf between the canyon and the sidewalk,
• Using clusters of boulders and drought-tolerant plants,
• Redesigning drainage & remove the concrete swale, and
• Upgrading the current irrigation system
