October 2004
The Board of Directors is accepting resumes from homeowners for a position of director on the board. If you are willing to provide community service and have a background in business, management, finance, project management or a related field, please send your resume to Preferred Property Managers. Villa Monterey HOA is a $54 million complex and is a major investment of most homeowners. Your decisions will help guide the board as we move forward to be certain that we maintain property values and help Villa Monterey remain as one of the premier locations in San Diego. You may fax your resume to (868) 569-8782 or it.
The League of Women's Voters will be meeting in the clubhouse to discuss the pros and cons of the upcoming ballot issues on Wednesday, October 13th at 1:00 pm. Everyone is welcome to attend.
Trash pickup is provided weekly by the City of San Diego Environmental Services Department, Refuse Collection (858-492-5020) at curbside outside your garage. Generally, trash pickup is on Friday. When a City holiday occurs on or before "trash day", then trash pickup is a day later that week. When a holiday occurs after "trash day", then trash pickup day is unchanged that week. The City uses a truck-mounted mechanical arm to lift and empty trash bins, and requires residents to use only the trash bins provided by the City.
Container Setout
- Set the automated container in the street or alley, wheels against the curb, with the handle facing your home, by 7:00 a.m. on collection day.
- Make sure your container is at least three feet from other containers, parked cars, lamp posts, trees, mailbox posts and any other obstructions so the collection truck can access your container. Please remove your container by 6:00 p.m. on collection day.
Curbside Recycling
Curbside recycling is provided every two weeks (on alternate trash days) by the City of San Diego Environmental Services Department at curbside outside your garage. You have a choice of 32 gallon, 64 gallon, or 96 gallon sizes. If the size container delivered to your home is not appropriate for your family, call Environmental Services at (858) 492-5060 to arrange an exchange. Or exchange the container yourself at 9601 Ridgehaven Ct., suite 120.
