March 1998
As a reminder, tenants and guests of tenants or residents are not permitted to park in posted fire turnaround lanes or any red curbed area. In the interest of safety, it is necessary that we all observe this rule. The Board of Directors appreciates your cooperation.
The Annual Meeting of Villa Monterey HOA. will be held April 8, 1998, at the clubhouse. Registration is at 6:30 P.M.; the meeting is at 7:00 P.M. Among other business: to fill two vacancies to the Board of Directors.
Two Board members are completing their terms this year. Community Service is in the highest tradition of the American Spirit.
During the term of these Directors, the buildings will have been painted, the spa and garage doors replaced, and the clubhouse renovated. These are high standards of excellence and productivity.
Only the highly motivated and dedicated should apply. Call Curtis Management, ask Marysia Leu for an application to serve.
The current garage door project is about a third completed. Slowing us down has been the weather and a shortage of material. The project officer wants to express his thanks to folks who have been most cooperative. It has been heartening to find so many caring people among our 184 families. If we have not gotten your way as yet, we hope to do so in the next month. We are hoping we can finish the project before the end of March.
After some looking about, we have hit on a possible solution to mail falling on the garage floor. It's a wire basket called a Folder Holder. We've found them at Office Depot and at Hold It. With a pair of wire cutters and a drill, the holder can be attached to the rear of your mail slot. Also a length of chain is helpful to direct the mail into the basket. You can secure the item yourself, or ask Mike to secure it and mount it for you at a total cost of $15. Let us repeat that the Folder Holder is only one solution. Do let us know if you have found something that works for you.
With the removal of old mail boxes, holes in the wall are an occasional sight in the HOA. Please be patient. Kasa Construction will fill in these openings at no cost to the homeowner.
